Quality Control
- SouthWest Engineers SouthWest Engineersconducts lab scale manufacturing to verify the process and train its people prior to first plant-scale batch.
- SouthWest Engineers trains its plant operations to make the products for Additives Inc. in strict compliance with the standard manufacturing procedure.
- Each batch/lot is tested for conformance with product specifications prior to release to storage, packaging or shipment.
- Retain samples from each batch are sent to the Denver facilities of Additives Inc. Each is again tested for Spec. Properties and, on a statistical basis, performance testing is conducted (Glassware Corrosion, Aluminum Corrosion, Pump Cavitation Erosion/Corrosion, Simulated Service, etc.).
- Certificates of Analysis are produced for each batch/lot and are available to customers.
- Test records are retained for 2 years; batch/lot samples are retained for 1 year. Retention times can be extended on a request basis.
- Additives Inc. is ISO 9002 Certified.
Product Development
- Products are developed at the Denver facility of Additives Inc.
- Laboratory - scale production of new candidate products are thoroughly tested in accordance with the appropriate ASTM and Industry Standards internally and at an outside certified laboratory.
- Initial new product manufacturing procedures are developed at our Denver laboratory and pilot plant.
- Standard manufacturing procedures and specifications are written in Denver.
